By using natural zeolite the physical and mechanical properties of soil, water and air permeability is improved, and enhances the ability to absorb and retain water in the soil.
Zeolite has the biggest positive impact in agriculture, vegetable growing and field crops in a way that increases soil fertility, increases the yield of agriculture, reduces the cost of production of agricultural products as mineral and organomineral substrate that serves as a supplement for growing vegetables, composed of fertilizers in order to increase their efficiency and length effects, as well as carriers and activators acting herbicides, compositions for stimulating the growth and so on.
Zeolite contains elements that enhance the development of and increase crop growth, such as: magnesium, calcium, potassium, and therefore reduce the dosage and timing addition of mineral fertilizers and reduces environmental pollution compound of nitrogen and phosphorus.
Zeolite lowers the acidity of the soil, improves the air permeability and adsorption capacity of the substrate, increases the resistance of plants, there is no overheating of the substrate and specifically extends the time of the soil moisture retention. Zeolite substrates do not pile; they are sterile in relation to various diseases, and among them there are no weed seeds. The composition of zeolite substrate is easy to regenerate: their physico-chemical changes little during the exploitation, which allows you to use 2-3 times longer than organic substrate, which eventually suffer irreversible physical and chemical changes.
Zeolite freezing point is above -20°C, that has a great effect on plant’s root at low temperatures and protects the plants from freezing up to -5°C.
One of the great properties of zeolite is water retention capacity of the soil, and its gradual release into the soil so that plants throughout the vegetative cycle are constantly serviced with necessary moisture. Because of the above-mentioned characteristic, it significantly alleviates the effects of drought, as well as the consequences of excessive moisture.
It can added to humus, peat, compost between 25-30% in relation to the quantity.
